Presentation 

"Cordes à Corps" is a duo composed of a guitarist, Mickael Luis, and a dancer, Lia Beuchat, exploring the relationship between music and dance.

We met in Switzerland where we started working in 2016. We explore two paths in our creative work: The first uses the score as a raw material: randomly generated scores and scores from the guitar repertoire.

The second uses improvisation and more specifically instant composition. Our keyword is to be in the present moment to build something unique and unfinished, allowing the creative activity to continue. We seek to move away from the habits and roles of our arts when they come together. Each art is staged, distinguishing itself in its role, and manifests itself as the main actor. We juxtapose ourselves with the lowest possible hierarchy. 

Simultaneous lectures that are seen and heard, cut off each other's speech, overlap, going further than a simple act of perception. Which offers multiple suggestions and reflections to the viewer.
