Competition

2019

  • 1st Prize of Tbilisi International Classical Guitar Composition Competition, with the piece "Olive Oil"

  • 1st Prize of Nordhorn Composition Competition in Germany with the piece "Yéti"

The composition  Yéti  was inspired by a children's book entitled "yéti". It was written by Taï-Marc le Thanh and illustrated by Rebecca Dautremer, a French couple living in Paris. This album is an invitation to dream and travel. The story is about a young girl who dreams to meet the Yeti. She prepares her expedition and leaves to the other side of the world. She ignores the fact that this Yeti had been with her since the beginning, without being able to see him.

The piece Yéti recently received 1st prize in composition during an international guitar festival in Germany.

Teeth Hunters is also a piece inspired by a children's book entitled "Chasseurs de dents". It was written by Cho Won-Hee, who comes from Korea. This album is about poaching and deals with the emotional subject of animal cruelty. It's an almost wordless picturebook with powerful, intense illustrations that tells an inverted story. Cho Won Hee allow the reader to speculate and denounce our society. She used for it the anthropomorphism: switching the role of the elephant and the human. She examines and interprets humanity through anthropomorphism.
